Family Day

During the annual International Filmfestival Sarajevo, that took place from August the 17th until the 24th 2007, a very successful Family Day was organized. Last years excellent reactions and positive reviews of the event, were reason for the Dutch Embassy to join and invite Kriterion Sarajevo to cooperate in the Orbico Family Day. The young and older visitors were offered information about Dutch film, the Netherlands in general and of course about Kriterion Sarajevo.

The whole day was dedicated to family, fun, socializing and education. Kriterion Sarajevo and the Dutch therefore divided their spot into two parts: one for children, and one for their parents. In a small, improvised cinema the latter were able to watch one of the films screened during the Kriterion film events in Sarajevo last year. The children were offered drawing workshops. They draw motives from Holland and were treated with a small treat for each drawing: a playing ball, printed with the logo’s of Kriterion and the Dutch Embassy. On the end of day, our spot became a true exhibition gallery with more than 500 drawings."

 

More than 50 organizations and individual participants took part in this unique event.

Kriterion Sarajevo wants to thank the Dutch Embassy for their support and the the opportunity to promote ourselves in this big event.
