In Mitrovica North YUA cooperates with a group of students and graduates between 22-30 years old. Organizing their first cultural events in the summer of 2011, they have continued to do so ever since. From open air movies to gigs in cooperation with the Mitrovica Rockschool, from photo exhibitions to DJs and stand-up comedian shows; MitroMotion knows how to attract an audience.

Students make up for almost 50% of the 20.000 inhabitants of Mitrovia North. But the local cultural scene provides not much on a regular base. This is interesting for 2 reasons: 1st of all the lack of cultural stages provides a good reason to organize some good cultural events. Secondly; this means that there are a lot of students in North Mitrovica that could benefit from a Kriterion project. Actually there’s a bit under 10.000 potential MitroMotion employees in Mitrovica North.

YUA, together with the MitroMotion team, is looking into possibilities for a local Kriterion business. This means that we are looking into possibilities for a local business, that will be self sustainable and run by students. In the mean time, MitroMotion is a welcome addition to the local cultural scene and will continue to be so!
